HardestWorking1

Rachel Clarkin

This month’s hardest working award goes to Rachel Clarkin! Rachel has been with Giddy Up for almost a year and works out 2-3 times per week.Rachel’s focus is wellness! She has lost over 10 inches and put on 3lbs of muscle. Over the last few years Rachel has dealt with some health issues including non celiac gluten sensitivity. In spite of the health obstacles she faces on a daily basis she gives it her all when she is exercising and focusing on nutrition. She always wants me to be challenged! Even when I try and give her the “modified” version, she wants to try the regular technique first! As many of you know when we past 40 is gets much harder to lose weight and when 50 comes we feel like we are going backwards sometimes. If you ever need motivation to keep going talk to Rachel. She is one of our most vigilant clients. She says her biggest accomplishment is her increase in endurance, strength and losing inches…something that many of us struggle to use these metrics as a sense of accomplishment.

Rachel spends a good amount of time doing volunteer work at the Historic Oakland Cemetery. In her picture above she was volunteering for their annual capturing The Spirit of Oakland Halloween tour that she has been apart of for 5 years. She is the wonderful mom of Amanda (which she is most proud of) and in her free time: makes stuffed bears, is a great gluten-free cook, knits…just too mention a handful of her many talents.

Thanks Rachel for your hard work, persistence and positive attitude!

Finally An Affordable Cleanse/Flush That Works!

Many of you have already seen this at the studio already. Since I posted 4 clients have taken advantage of this recommendation. I have also done twice myself!  The purpose is to cleanse your  liver and gall bladder. On average clients lost 4lbs. Studies show it can improve your health for the next several months or even several years, if you do it consistently, and can help you cure some of the worst “incurable diseases” like life-long  psoriasis, eczema, cystic acne, seborrheic dermatitis, fatty liver, gallstones attack, Parkinson’s disease, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, peeling lips (exfoliative cheilitis), extreme body odor, candida fungal infection, PCOS, MS, PMS, CFS, ME, clinical depression, schizophrenia, etc. *See the recipe below for the flush and click the link for further details.

*Although it is a very simple recipe….It is important that you check with your doctor to ensure that they approve of using this recipe.

Castor Oil Flush Recipe

Adults (approximate body weight 75kg-click on link for tablespoons based on your weight):

Pour 50 ml to 75 ml ( 1.5 to 2 ounces) of castor oil in a cup and add equal amount of freshly squeezed orange juice to it and mix well. Drink on an empty stomach at around 6-7a.m. (morning)

After 15 – 30 minutes, start drinking hot water (like you would sip tea).

Drink approximately 3-4 cups at intervals of 10 – 15 minutes. You will have flush bowel movements.

When you have visited bathroom 2-3 times, stop drinking warm water. The bowel movements can be stopped by drinking a glass of yogurt or some other milk fermented product.
For the rest of the day try to eat very light food and avoid fatty , fried, processed, artificial or spicy foods.

Children

For children above the age of four it may be safe but use proportionally less of castor oil (one teaspoonful to one tablespoonful) depending on body weight.

Care should be taken not to dehydrate them. So children should stop drinking hot water after they have had one or two bowel flushing (one or two visits to restroom).

Tolerance: 1 or 2 tablespoons may be more then enough for some people!

How often to do?

Adults can do it once a month or once in two months. This can be easily done on the weekend.

Children: Not more often then once in several months.

After the Cleanse

Eat very light food; not fatty, fried items. Fruit juices are fine or steamed vegetables are good. If you feel too hungry, just plain rice with some beans without any fat is good.

Who is this cleanse for?

Anyone who is relatively healthy.

Contraindications?  Who should avoid this cleanse?

Children below the age of four and pregnant women. However, before planning for pregnancy doing this is excellent. This keeps the body healthy for the baby.

Very ill people should not do this cleanse. If you are suffering from fever or have diarrhea or dysentery.

People with liver problems or poor liver functions should not do this cleanse.
