Laura BrownLaura is now going on 12 consecutive months of training with me! Based on industry averages, 87% of clients drop out of training within the 1st 90 days. Unfortunately, most of the time its due to lack of commitment and motivation on the part of the client, an inadequate trainer and or no strategic exercise plan. Laura is committed to training 3 times a week and on off days does running and walking. At 63 years old this is definitely a commitment. There are many days she doesn’t feel like training but she comes in and does it anyways.

Laura is an awesome mother and grandmother and has become a very dear and loyal friend to me. She has supported Giddy Up since its opening in August. Showing support at opening events, health fairs, recruiting clients and helping to organize parties. She is a great advocate and ambassador for my mission to change the lives of women through fitness and nutrition.

As I am very thankful that ALL my clients contribute to the success of Giddy Up, Laura has consistently gone above and beyond. Thanks Laura!

Congratulations to ALL clients!!Did you know the average person that is already overweight gains 7 lbs between Thanksgiving and Christmas?? I am happy to say that none of you are in this statistic this year! 95% of you have maintained your weight and the other 5% saw no more than a 1 pound increase. All clients for the most part kept on their exercise program during the holiday season. That is a huge commitment and accomplishment.

What you all have to focus on is getting back 100% to not only training but the nutrition plans we have discussed.

Here’s what we need to do: 

  • Acknowledge your wins: all of you should feel good about not being a statistic. Know that you beat the odds during the holiday season.
  • Re-focus: remember the reason you started training. Many of you are right at your turning point for significant results. Whatever you did over the holidays is done, don’t beat yourself up!
  • Cardio on days off: you should be exercising a total of 5 days/week. If you are with me 3 days, then you should be doing cardio on your own the other 2 days.
  • Support: you can NOT do this alone. Get your spouses, children and friends involved so that they can participate in this journey. Tell them why this is important to you and how they can help.
  • Nutrition: this is 80% of it! If we fail at this we fail. Get back to logging on Myfitness Pal, it helps to keep you disciplined. Talk to me about getting on a meal replacement plan.

Classes & Seminars

I am excited to announce our first scheduled event will be Saturday February 7th! On a monthly bases we will begin to conduct classes and seminars that focus on educating, mentoring and providing tools to women as it relates to the challenges that stand in our way of becoming the women we want to be. We will have doctors, licensed counselors  and certified professionals to come in and facilitate the class. Topics include: making healthier eating choices, healthy holiday eating, getting rid of ab fat, urinary incontinence, enhancing the sexual experience and how to reduce nagging symptoms of menopause. All classes are free and last 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours depending on the topic.  You will need to register for the class at least a week in advance as there will be limited seating.

  • 3 months in advance: 10% off your package/program
